Craftsmanship

The bench

Craftsmanship

Two watchmakers, a timing machine and a pressure tester. This is the part of the trade most sellers skip.

Movement being regulated on a timing machine

Four stages, no shortcuts

  • Parts selection. Case, dial, hands and movement are inspected on arrival; anything with a finish defect goes back.
  • Assembly. Hands set under a loupe, date wheel aligned, gaskets renewed, bracelet sized to your wrist measurement.
  • Regulation. Rate, amplitude and beat error recorded in six positions. We hold builds to ±5 s/day before they leave.
  • Pressure test. 5 bar for ten minutes, then a 24-hour visual check for condensation and hand drift.

“If the printout is wrong, the watch does not ship. It goes back on the bench.”
